American Independent vs. No Party Preference/Decline to State

This is important!

Some voters decided to register as an American Independent THINKING that meant they were a “decline to state” or more accurately a No Party Preference voter. Well they are not. They are a member of one of the most conservative (and racist) political parties in California.

In California, the American Independent Party is a far-right political party established in 1967 best known for its nomination of former Governor George Wallace of Alabama, who carried five states in the 1968 presidential election running on a segregationist “law and order” platform against Richard M. Nixon and Hubert H. Humphrey. The party split in 1976 into the modern American Independent Party and the American Party. From 1992 until 2008, the party was the California affiliate of the national Constitution Party. Its exit from the Constitution Party led to a leadership dispute during the 2016 election.

Maybe more importantly, the American Independent Party, according to their platform, believes marriage is between a man and women, is against illegal immigration and supports secure borders and is pro -life.

You might want to hurry up and re-register a No Party Preference voter before it’s too late.

Before you can vote in Los Angeles County, you must register to vote. This is the first step in the voting process. You must be registered to vote at least 15 days prior to an election in order to vote in that election.

We now vote on Tuesday, March 5. Not in June.
